I’m up to Day 90. Tough gig finding something original, but going OK so far…
Early morning amongst the first flights out of Sydney. And the fishermen. And the rowers. And the sparrows….
Project 365/2013. And so it begins.

One of the coolest things I seen last year from a photograper was Project 366 by Joel Strickland. Everyday in 2012 he uploaded a single photo, a neat idea that really kept me interested in his work. So after a quick chat I have unashamedly stole his idea for 2013. Joel warned me, it gets tough, finding something worthy of uploading each day, and already in January I can see what he means. But it’s also a wonderful challenge that has rejuvinated my love of photography. Each day I upload photos onto my Facebook photography page (search ‘Chris Allen Photography’ and click Like!) and the response has been fantastic so far. Hopefully this generation of publicity will lead me into getting more of the jobs I really love, weddings and portraits. In the meantime, here are a few so far from January, I hope you enjoy them.
P.S. I have just started using the new Nikon D800. This is one amazing piece of kit, I’ll go into further detail later, but it has blown my mind with its brilliance!
I spent the (very!) early hours of the morning photographing under/over/around the bridge at La Perrouse and Bare Island. I’m really happy with the results:
We recently headed out on a country getaway to rural NSW. Sunsets, farm animals and just beautiful landscapes were what we found…
An oddly hazy morning produced a sunrise more akin to a torch through the mist, not that the majority of people doing boot camps and training seem to notice…
An earlymorning mission to Tamarama Beach resulted in these photos. Enjoy.
